Firenze tra sogno e realtà: un brusco risveglio
Squadre di calcio, tifoserie, mentalità a confronto: anche il calcio è civiltà. O dovrebbe esserlo.

Un progetto spesso fallisce perché non ci sono le fondamenta abbastanza solide, perché gli operai non lavorano duramente, perché magari chi ha messo su carta quei disegni così tecnici ma poco precisi non ci credeva fino in fondo.
Cosa c’entra con il calcio? Forse niente, ma parallelamente chi vive di questo sport sa bene cosa possa voler dire avere delle buone basi da cui partire. Il che non significa necessariamente poter arrivare in fondo sulle ali dell’entusiasmo, con energie fresche e razionali, concrete. No. Vuol dire giocarsi le proprie carte finché girano, finché sono a disposizione assi nella manica. Costruire mattone dopo mattone e progettare senza intervenire, due facce della stessa medaglia.
Leicester City e Fiorentina, come testa o croce, hanno sviluppato trend sia positivi che negativi e giorno dopo giorno hanno percorso strade sempre più diverse. Forse è qui che nasce la crepa che c’è fra chi ha veramente bisogno di crescere e chi è abbastanza maturo per incontrare realtà più difficili e palcoscenici più ambiti.
La partenza furiosa, accattivante, invidiata da ogni allenatore di Paulo Sousa. E se più a nord Europa c’era una squadra che puntava (apparentemente) all’improbabile salvezza durante il ritiro estivo, adesso il Leicester di Claudio Ranieri guarda la classifica dall’alto con sette punti dal Tottenham di Pochettino, laggiù nelle difficoltà della nostra serie A la Fiorentina scivola come saponetta sotto lo sguardo compiaciuto di Juventus, Napoli, Roma e Inter.
La storia degli inglesi ormai è ben nota: Jamie Vardy, Mahrez, Morgan, lo stesso Ranieri; dalla quarta divisione inglese a capocannoniere della Premier League, le lacrime di commozione del tecnico alla vittoria finale sul Southampton a ricordare che il fuoco è ancora acceso e vivo. Quello che invece rimane sempre dietro le quinte è la progettazione di un equilibrio tattico su cui i “Foxes” studiano e, inevitabilmente, vincono. È qui che la forza di una società viene fuori, e convince.
Sicuramente la dea bendata ha allungato la mano (e continua per adesso a farlo) ai ragazzi di Ranieri, sicuramente non ci sono le big ed i “grandi investimenti” milionari a mettere i bastoni fra le ruote, ma quello a cui i tifosi ogni domenica partecipano equivale al sogno a cui qualsiasi bambino vorrebbe partecipare.
Firenze si è accomodata, seduta, lasciando i sogni sulla mensola di camera a prendere polvere, colpita da un inizio di sogno nel giro di tre mesi, poi, il brusco risveglio. Forse dovuto alla rosa corta, forse ad un ritardo (voluto o meno) di interventi nelle trattative, forse una comunicazione troppo vana e lasciata al vento che irrimediabilmente ha portato vial’effimero assaggio di una realtà straordinaria non appartenente ai viola. Prima Prandelli, poi Montella, adesso Sousa; prima Gomez, poi Mammana, infine Salah. Tutte degustazioni amare di una portata che fa male, dopotutto.

Così, è bastato un sospiro, un lieve soffio a spegnere quella scintilla che tanto aveva fatto sperare con il suo bruciare e muoversi all’aria aperta, che aveva portato gente allo stadio, ai campini di allenamento e che adesso si ritrova con poco in mano, con i soliti obiettivi di classifica degli ultimi anni, come se in realtà quella scintilla non fosse mai scoppiata.
