La favola, purtroppo reale, del figlio dimenticato. Il dramma di Florian Zeller in una bellissima edizione alla Pergola di Firenze.

Il regista Piero Maccarinelli mette in scena uno spettacolo forte e coinvolgente. Ottimo Cesare Bocci, straordinario Giulio Pranno nel ruolo di un adolescente problematico e infelice.

La favola, purtroppo reale, del figlio dimenticato. Il dramma di Florian Zeller in una bellissima edizione alla Pergola di Firenze.

Un dramma teatrale “forte”, di quelli capaci di rimandare a casa lo spettatore con le lacrime agli occhi e con la sensazione di avere visto, più che uno spettacolo, una scena di vita quotidiana. Il figlio di  Florian Zeller, in scena da ieri sera al teatro della Pergola (teatro della Toscana) di Firenze per tutta questa settimana, ha sicuramente lasciato il segno in un pubblico che ha applaudito con entusiasmo ma anche commosso da un dramma che purtroppo tante, troppe volte si presenta non solo sul palcoscenico dei teatri ma anche e soprattutto su quello della vita quotidiana: l’incomprensione totale e profonda tra figli e genitori, che non sempre riescono a comprendere che l’animo degli adolescenti è un qualcosa di molto fragile e delicato. Florian Zeller, classe 1979, è uno scrittore, drammaturgo e regista francese che racconta la contemporaneità attraverso una scrittura diretta, profondamente incisiva, maneggiando con proprietà sia lo humour più vivace (in commedie come La verità), sia l’introspezione dei caratteri umani e dei ruoli sociali, come accade ne Il Figlio, che fa parte di una trilogia insieme a Il Padre e La Madre. Con la sua trasposizione cinematografica del Padre ha vinto il Premio Oscar e l’European Film Award alla migliore sceneggiatura.

Piero Maccarinelli, che già aveva diretto  il Padre,  è il traduttore e il regista della messa in scena fiorentina: “La trama è semplice, ma non il tessuto di emozioni, la voglia di svelare quel che spesso, troppo spesso si nasconde – afferma il regista – Il Figlio ti conquista grazie non solo alla bellezza del linguaggio, ma anche alla capacità di introspezione, ai rimandi fra un personaggio e l’altro, al manifestarsi delle loro debolezze, delle loro incapacità di capire sé stessi e gli altri. La vita in tutte le sue sfaccettature per piantare uno specchio nel cuore a tutti i genitori di un figlio adolescente”.

Raramente un programma è stato più realizzato e rispettato. In una ambientazione scenica sobria ed essenziale, tipicamente “borghese” curata da Carlo de Marino con i costumi altrettanto sobri ma significativi  di  Gianluca Sbicca (giacca e cravatta per il padre, avvocato di successo che si è fatto da sé, abbigliamento “casual”per il figlio, un po’ sciatto quello di Anna, più sofisticato quello di Sofia) Zeller ci presenta una situazione oggi purtroppo talmente frequente da essere diventata “normale”: una famiglia sfasciata, in cui un componente (in questo caso, il padre) lascia il tetto coniugale per costruirsi un altro e per lui più confortevole focolare, senza curarsi troppo dei “cocci” che lascia, soprattutto quando ci sono di mezzo dei figli. È il caso di Nicola, ragazzo giunto all’ultimo anno di liceo; Anna informa l’ex marito che Nicola da tre mesi non va più a scuola: secondo lei ha una depressione adolescenziale. Piero ne parla con il figlio, che esprime il desiderio di andare a vivere da lui e Sofia, la sua nuova compagna da cui ha avuto un altro figlio ancora infante.  Piero, a quel punto, decide di cambiare scuola a Nicola e si dà da fare, per quanto può, per ridargli il gusto di vivere. Ma se è vero che l’inferno è lastricato di buone intenzioni, la “buona volontà” di Piero si rivelerà per l’appunto come una vera e propria discesa agli inferi che metterà in luce anche le ipocrisie, le meschinità e la “cattiva coscienza” di un genitore ripiegato solo su stesso e sul proprio ego. “Quello che vediamo sulla scena è la costruzione di una catastrofe epocale (…) La separazione dei due genitori è la causa prima del malessere di questa storia, a cui si sommano conseguentemente altre ragioni: la più importante  è l’incapacità dei due genitori  di riuscire a capire la vera natura del figlio (…) lui mente a tutti non dicendo la verità. E i genitori stessi non vogliono sapere, credono ad ogni cosa, finchè non si arriva al punto in cui tutte le bugie vengono al pettine”,  prosegue il regista.

Maccarinelli costruisce un racconto teatrale di grande efficacia, in cui da una situazione tutto sommato “tranquilla”, si passa in un sottile crescendo di tensione alla consapevolezza che un malessere profondo ed inquietante si annida nell’animo di un ragazzo che passa dalla convivenza con la madre a quella con il padre, tollerata con scarso entusiasmo dalla sua nuova compagna Sofia. Sulla trama non è opportuno rivelare altro, perché i colpi di scena non mancano e sono uno dei punti di forza dello spettacolo, anche per l’abilità con cui vengono messi in scena; un altro è senza dubbio il cast. Piero è Cesare Bocci, il “vicecommissario Augello” di Montalbano, che però qui è ben diverso dal personaggio frivolo e un po’ spaccone dello sceneggiato televisivo: rappresenta qui un padre superficiale e solo apparentemente sicuro di sé, che crede di avere il controllo di una situazione che gli sfugge sempre di più di mano. Bocci si cala perfettamente nel personaggio, ora pacato e amichevole ora arrogante nei confronti del figlio sino a diventare persino violento, ma sempre comunque incapace di una relazione veramente empatica con lui.

Ma il vero mattatore dello spettacolo è senza ombra di dubbio il Nicola di Giulio Pranno, giovane attore (classe 1998) emergente scoperto da Gabriele Salvatores .  Pranno non interpreta, ma “è” Nicola calandosi con impressionante realismo nel ruolo di un adolescente problematico, nelle sue sofferenze, nel suo disperato e frustrato bisogno di essere ascoltato e compreso. L’attore dà voce ai tanti, troppi adolescenti che soprattutto in situazioni familiari “difficili” non riescono a farsi capire o finiscono per essere pesantemente sottovalutati, con una forza e una energia che sembrano davvero “oltrepassare” il palcoscenico per coinvolgere e travolgere il pubblico, che gli ha tributato infatti un applauso particolarmente entusiasta e caloroso.

Galatea Ranzi (Anna) affronta bene il ruolo della madre stanca e delusa, figura forse un po’ scialba ma non rassegnata mentre la Sofia di Marta Gastini realizza benissimo “l’altra”, la nuova compagna più giovane, un po’ egoista e scostante anche se capace di qualche slancio generoso. Buoni anche i ruoli minori del medico (Riccardo Floris) e dell’infermiere.

Da non perdere assolutamente. Prossime rappresentazioni mercoledì 1 marzo, venerdì 3, sabato 4, ore 21; giovedì, ore 19; domenica, ore 16.
